The "Welsh  Green Gathering" has been cancelled at the last possible moment by the Dyfed-Powys police force.  They claim to be concerned about travelers moving permanently into Wales from Ireland and England as well as the site becoming contaminated with diesel, excreta and drugs. They are implacably opposed to any "alternative" events taking place in their area.  Last year  they caused the cancellation of the Llandeilo Festival at an advanced stage.

     An alternative site has been found in an adjacent police area but to late to organise this years event.

    It is suggested that people may like to email or write to the Chief Constable, Mr. Terrence Grange, Llanelli Counc il and Carmarthen County Council  to protest about this decision

Anyone fed up with the canceling of the welsh green gathering after a series of quite remarkable objections lodged by Dyfed-Powys police may find some solace at this site
