Nine arrests at pagan wedding

Nine guests on their way to a pagan wedding party at a secluded location between Aberaeron and Lampeter, were arrested in a police operation on Saturday night.
Acting on information received, officers stopped and searched vehicles travelling to Yr Hen Felin, a house located off the B4342 Dihewyd-Mydroilyn road, near a valley known locally as Cwm Castell.
It is understood that numerous pagan ceremonies have been enacted in the Aeron Valley in recent times.
A local resident, who specifically asked not to be named, told the Journal: "Pagan weddings have been held here in the past and there is no doubt that paganism is on the increase in the area.
"With Saturday being Halloween, we were not surprised that there was a ceremony and an influx of people, but they did not bother anyone." she said.
A police spokesman said "I can confirm that nine people were arrested for alleged drug and public order offences and they will appear in court in due course."
