Jigsaw after Escher

This piece was made to commission based on a design by M.C.Escher. The central panel is a handmade sycamore laminate to ensure strength and stability. The design was carved before separating the pieces which were then finished individually and alternate ones stained. The frame and stand were made from a plank of American walnut.
