"Olive" was carved from a single small olive branch which a friend brought back from Spain. She was whittled freehand, the eye of the dog behind Olive originating from a small dark knot on a knob on the branch and the unusual twist of her arms deriving from existing ridges. She is mounted on a bog oak plinth. This piece is in the collection of the artist and is one of Nansi's most admired sculptures.
